Bastille Day is a celebration in France of the beginning of the French Revolution on July 14,1789. So, what better way to celebrate a French holiday than with a French game – Pétanque. Twelve players competed through three rounds in a panaché-format tournament (the same format as the June tournament) in perfect weather. Lunch featured French food and drink specialties, including samples of pastis, and music.
